Happy Sunday,
Another mixed bag of a weekend with a sensational top of the table win for the women and two losses for the men. The Fizzy Reds were also back in keen action on Friday night at Carr Confoy Park. At both venues, on both days, it was wet and it was cold, but still a chance to watch and support our teams which outweighs all the rest.
Mammoth [praise to all who assisted at all games, and especially to Jordan Brooker who refereed two full games with a broken back (I’m not actually a doctor, so I’m rounding up).

Women’s 10s: A second win against ADFA in as many weeks, this time by 50-36, has further extended Goulburn’s lead in this competition.
1st Grade Men: First grade struggled to get on top against Queanbeyan, losing 24-7.
2nd Grade Men: So close, but the Dirty Twos lost to Queanbeyan by 17-12.

Goulburn’s favourite bloodnut and the man after whom our main ground is named, Simon Poidevin, has been named in the list of 15 greatest all time Wallabies by Gordon Bray – doyen of the game and also the man who refereed the invitational match at the opening of Poidevin Oval.
