With the women having the weekend off ahead of their grand final next weekend, Goulburn had only the men’s sides in senior action this weekend, and what contrasting results they were.
Reserve grade lost to a beefed up Gungahlin side by 66-17, while in first grade Goulburn notched up their best score of the year and regained competition leadership with a 67-7 win over the Eagles.
The two games came at a cost with Abram Kara, Anthony Yeo and Michael Cooke all now in the injury ward.
But the club did notch up some individual milestones for Mikael Webber, Brad Clements and Adam Lachlan (see first grade match report).
Next weekend, the men’s teams play Wests. The venue has yet to be officially confirmed but will probably by Weetangera Fields. The women will play at Mick Sherd Oval, Bungendore against ADFA.
In the juniors, we got out a number of backlogged KFC Team Player awards (sorry for the delay) and we’d love to see your pictures and record some of the winner’s names.
