A new committee, including a new president, and three new Life Members were voted in at the 2020 AGM of the Goulburn Rugby Club.

All committee positions were vacated at the beginning of the meeting with elections held for each.

Jackson Reardon, who was senior vice president before the election, took the step up to the top job with outgoing president Peter Greaves, who had held the position for three seasons, staying on as senior vice president in a seamless transition of power that won’t involve the Supreme Court.

Three new Life Members were also added to the list of club people to have achieved the club’s highest accolade. Paul O’Rourke, Peter Greaves and Geoff Shepherd were all unanimously endorsed as Life Member. Each had notched up 20 years of service to the Goulburn Rugby Club – a pre-requisite of Life Membership of the Club. Each of the three had also achieved this feat in a non-playing capacity, emphasising value the club places on efforts off the field as much as on.

In the coaching arena, all coaching positions across junior and senior grades were vacated, and thus far the only filled positions are for coach and assistant coach of the Women’s team. Ash Mewburn will return as coach and after a short maternity leave from playing will again be playing in the side. Club stalwart Pete Oliver will make his coaching debut alongside Ash as her assistant.
