Senior men’s and women’s 2019 draws released

The draws for the Dirty Reds senior men’s and women’s teams for 2019 have been released.

The men’s teams will compete in the 12-team First Division competition in a 14 round home and away format starting on March 30. To accommodate the number of teams, the draw has been created with three pools of four teams. Each team will play their own pool twice (six games) and the teams from the other two pools once (eight games) for the total of 14 rounds.

The season will end with a six team finals series with home games available across the first weekend, before moving the finals series to Tuggeranong.

The three competition byes will be on April 20 (Easter Long Weekend), May 25 (ACT Reconciliation Long Weekend) and June 8 (June Long weekend)

The women’s team will compete in a five-team 10s competition, starting May 4 (same weekend as the women’s 15s competition) and preceded by a 4 pre-season rounds from March 30 – 27 May (with a bye in Easter).

Teams will play each other 3 times with a two-week final series commencing on August 24 with the Grand final held the following week (31st August) as a double header with the Second Division South Coast Monaro competition.

There will again be double point matches in some games against ADFA and RMC in both men’s and women’s competitions.
