Not one of the more successful weekends of rugby for Goulburn, but at least rugby is going ahead and we’re all able to experience our favourite game.
This weekend the Women’s team, the Under 18s and reserve grade all recorded losses, the last two at home on Poidevin Oval, with first grade having another bye. The Women’s team was given the honour of playing the curtain-raiser to the Super W match against the Melbourne Rebels.
And while this weekend’s results could have been better it’s been a big week for the club.
Nine players represented Monaro last weekend at the Brumbies Provincial Tournament with two of them, Alec Palmer and Adam Lachlan, selected to play for Brumbies Country, the next step in the local representative pathway.
And at another level again, Pearl Rakete played in the number 6 jumper for Brumbies Super W on Saturday. All in all, a big week of rugby.
