It’s a day when Australians and New Zealander’s minds focus on the heroic efforts and the selflessness of those who have worn the uniform and have risked, and in many cases given their lives to protect us, which puts any sporting achievements into perspective.
So it’s only sport… that being said, the Goulburn women’s side turned on a gutsy and inspirational performance in their 13-10 win against Royals to get the club’s season underway.
The men’s comp starts up next weekend with first and seconds playing at Queanbeyan alongside the women – the first time all three senior grades will be together this season.
